EVENT RELOCATION

Due to recent rain the field at Sandstone Point Community & Sports Complex Hall are unsuitable to hold the event, and we are relocating the Movie in the Park to Brennan Park, Bribie Island.

Additionally, with the change in location, the fireworks will no longer take place. BUT in good news there will still be FREE rides and face painting for the kids!

Wahoo! Movie in the Park is making its return to Sandstone Point this April. On Saturday, April 13th, immerse yourself in a night of enjoyable, family-friendly entertainment and relish a FREE screening of ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie.’

Bring your preferred picnic rug or folding chairs and savor an evening beneath the stars at Brennan Park, Bribie Island (UPDATED LOCATION).

For the young ones (or young at heart) we have some good news – there will be FREE face painting and FREE Rides; Merry-go-round and rock climbing.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will commence at approximately 6:30pm, so ensure you have reserved the best spot in front of the screen and set up early to allow for time to grab your movie snacks before the show starts.

About the Movie – The Super Mario Bros. Movie (PG)

Based on the world of Nintendo’s Mario games, the film invites audiences into a vibrant, thrilling new universe unlike any created before in an action-packed, exuberant cinematic comedy event.

While working underground to fix a water main, Brooklyn plumbers Mario and brother Luigi are transported down a mysterious pipe and wander into a magical new world. But when the brothers are separated, Mario embarks on an epic quest to find Luigi.

With the assistance of a Mushroom Kingdom resident Toad and some training from the strong-willed ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach Mario taps into his own power.
