The most jubilant of Bribie Island events, the Bribie Island OPA Greek Festival 2022 hosted by Bribie Island Retreat and Recreational Centre will descend on Bribie Island the third weekend of September. The Bribie OPA Greek Festival will showcase Greek culture to the wider community. Working collaboratively within the community, The Greek Festival celebrates the diversity of people from various regional and ethnic backgrounds through Food, Dance, Music, Informative displays, Tutorials and children's entertainment.

Put your dancing shoes on and bring the family along for a colourful and lively day out celebrating Greek culture where the bush meets the beach in the oceanside Bribie suburb of Woorim. Opa!

What to Expect

  • Greek food stalls dishing up souvlakia, loukoumades, sheftalies, dolmathes, yiros, spanakopita, grilled haloumi and much more
  • Greek cooking demonstrations
  • Traditional Greek dancing groups
  • Greek Kafenea (coffee shops) serving Greek coffee and traditional sweets
  • Try sample wines
  • Live Greek bands playing music from the different regions of Greece
