Nestled in the heart of Moreton Bay, the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) Moreton Bay Campus is a vibrant and innovative community of learners and educators. UniSC's state-of-the-art Moreton Bay campus offers a range of modern facilities and world-class resources to support student success and academic excellence. With a focus on maximizing student outcomes, the campus features cutting-edge classrooms and labs, as well as ample recreational spaces to support holistic student wellness.
The Moreton Bay campus welcomed it's first cohort of students in March 2020, this is the first Moreton Bay university for the Moreton Bay Region. The campus was built on the former Petrie Paper Mill site. 2020 saw the first stage opened which included an auditorium, nursing simulation and science labs, engineering labs, Library, student services, support services and café and retail shops. The second stage will open in 2023 and will deliver more teaching and learning spaces, research laboratories, an industry hub/event space, student gym, sport science facility, student hub, outdoor spaces and multi-level car parking. By 2030, it is expected over 10,000 students will be enrolled and more than 100 degrees will be on offer to students.
One of the most notable offerings at UniSC Moreton Bay Campus is its commitment to sustainability. The campus has implemented numerous green initiatives, such as using renewable energy sources and reducing waste through recycling programs. As a result, the campus has been recognized for its sustainability efforts and is considered a leader in environmentally-friendly practices within the higher education community.
