Innovate Moreton Bay

Inspiring Ingenuity

The Moreton Bay Regional Council and Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) collaborated to create the innovative program known as Innovate Moreton Bay. This partnership aims to offer specialised innovation and growth services to support the region's entrepreneurial spirit. Innovate Moreton Bay enables locals, including the youth, to thrive and develop the skills necessary to compete successfully in international markets by supporting start-ups, scale-ups, and giving access to valuable resources.

The program highlights its dedication to fostering regional innovation and economic growth by acknowledging the prior support and backing it received from Advance Queensland's Advancing Regional Innovation Program (ARIP). Innovate Moreton Bay is pleased to provide a variety of services and initiatives that address the needs of various community segments and individuals as a result.

Supporting early-stage technology companies as they scale up their operations is one of the main goals of Innovate Moreton Bay. The program offers these new businesses specialised assistance and direction to help them overcome the obstacles to growth and innovation. Additionally, established medium- to large-scale local businesses looking for specialised innovative services are given support by Innovate Moreton Bay. The program's objective is to increase these businesses' competitive edge in the market by connecting them with pertinent resources and knowledge.

Local SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) interested in creating and implementing growth or innovation initiatives are also welcomed by Innovate Moreton Bay. These businesses are given access to helpful resources, mentoring programs, and networking opportunities through the program, which enables them to realise their full potential for growth and promote innovation throughout their organisations.

Young entrepreneurs are given special attention in the program, and they are given access to a vibrant ecosystem that supports their endeavours. Innovate Moreton Bay encourages the subsequent generation of innovators to flourish and fulfil their entrepreneurial aspirations by providing a supportive environment and extensive resources.

Innovate Moreton Bay holds a monthly Social Catchup at the North Lakes Sports Club in addition to its primary initiatives. This gathering, which takes place on the third Wednesday of every month from 3 to 5 p.m., offers participants a beneficial chance to network, connect, and form partnerships. If anyone is interested in learning more about how to attend these meetings and join the thriving innovation community, they should get in touch with Steve Butler.

The Moreton Bay Regional Council is aware of the importance of knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurship as major forces behind regional economic growth. The council has included these elements as one of the four pillars of their regional economic development strategy as part of their commitment. The strategy's Action Plan aims to strengthen the area's capacity and capability for innovation, with the end goal of making Moreton Bay one of the top 10 Regional Innovation Hubs. The council actively promotes the innovation ecosystem and helps businesses and educational institutions spread awareness of innovation opportunities and program.

Innovate Moreton Bay is an important initiative in the region's efforts to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth. The program enables neighbourhood businesses, start-ups, and young entrepreneurs to thrive and succeed in today's cutthroat business environment by offering specialised services, resources, and a supportive ecosystem. Innovate Moreton Bay is fostering the region's reputation as a hub for innovation and laying the foundation for a better future for its citizens through cooperation and forward-thinking strategies.
