
Andrew Powell MP is a prominent figure in the political landscape of Australia, specifically known for his role as the Member of Parliament representing the Glass House electorate in Queensland. With a deep-rooted passion for public service, Andrew Powell has dedicated his career to advocating for the interests of his constituents and working towards the betterment of the community.
He kicked off his career with the Defence Department in Canberra and, after a short time working overseas, returned to Queensland where he worked for the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and the Department of Child Safety.
An increasing frustration with how our taxes were being spent, how government policy was being developed and delivered, lead him to begin his journey into politics. Which began in 2009 when he was first elected to Queensland Parliament.
Since then, Andrew has consistently demonstrated his commitment to serving the people of Glass House and Moreton Bay through his tireless efforts and unwavering dedication.
Andrew has had some fantastic roles since including a term as Minister for Environment, Shadow Minister for Transport, Main Roads and Local Government and Shadow Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning.
The Glass House Electorate comprises of a vast area stretching from the Moreton Bay Region up to Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The electorate includes suburbs such as; Woodford, Wamuran, Upper Caboolture, Ocean View, Beerburrum, Glass House Mountains, Conondale, Maleny, Peachester and surrounds.
During his time as MP Andrew has built strong relationships within the community, earning their trust and respect.
