UniSC Equip Workshops

What are the Equip workshops?

Through our Widening Participation initiatives, UniSC is committed to supporting people from all backgrounds to engage in tertiary study. As part of these initiatives, UniSC has developed a series of free online and face-to-face short workshops to help adults (18)+ considering any kind of further study (TAFE, uni, etc) gain the skills, direction, knowledge and confidence to take on their career and study goals. Participants can complete one, two or all three workshops, depending on their needs and preferences.. More about the program – www.usc.edu.au/equip

Who can attend the Equip workshops?

The Equip workshops are designed for adults of all ages and experiences, including those who may not have engaged formal study for some time - There are NO entry requirements apart from being 18+ and a prospective domestic student. These workshops are conducted in a supportive and no-pressure environment and are completely agnostic – we can discuss any study option (not just with UniSC!). They are funded under the Australian Government’s Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP).

Is there a cost to attend?

No the workshops are absolutely FREE!

What do the workshops cover?

• Conquer the challenges– Helps participants identify the fears and challenges preventing them from pursuing further study and provides information, resources, and support to help them overcome them. This workshop includes time for each participant to have a short one-on-one consultation with one of our facilitators.

• Define your direction – Using a variety of exercises and resources this workshop helps participants to explore various career and study paths to be able to move forward with their goals.

• Upskill for study – Helps participants identify and develop academic skills that are crucial to success in further education.
