What's On Moreton Bay | Priority Species Walk - Platypus

Priority Species Walk - Platypus

Hills District
August 4th at 8:30am
Free Entry

August is platypus breeding month and we are lucky enough to have a breeding pair call Kumbartcho home! Platypus identify as one of our local Priority Species.

Our staff and volunteers will take you on a guided walk through the grounds and down to South Pine River. You will hear stories of the centre and discover other local wildlife.

Once at the river, we will wait and watch in the hope we see the platypus foraging for freshwater food.

Important Details

The walk will include some stairs and bush walking along a dirt track.
