CLONTARF

Come on down to MJ Brown Park, Clontarf from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Sunday 30 July 2023 to help plant native trees and shrubs as part of Planet Ark’s National Tree Day.

Planting is along Bells Creek between Maine Road and Duffield Road, Margate.

You will also have the opportunity to meet your local Environment Officer and other like-minded locals.

Make sure you wear sunscreen, sun-safe clothing, enclosed footwear, and bring a drink bottle.

Volunteer information

You will be provided with:

  • tools and equipment for planting
  • a sausage sizzle.

Parking

Parking and access via Cedar Street, Clontarf or Mahogany or Marigold Streets, Margate.

Planting is adjacent to a previous National Tree Day site.

You will also have the opportunity to meet your local Environment Officer and other like-minded locals.

Make sure you wear sunscreen, sun-safe clothing, enclosed footwear, and bring a drink bottle.

  • a sausage sizzle.

Parking is available via Mansfield Road, Elimbah.

Come on down to Samford Parklands, Samford Valley (behind Samford Rangers Football Club) from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Sunday 30 July 2023 to help plant native trees and shrubs as part of Planet Ark’s National Tree Day.

Planting area is along the bank of the South Pine River, behind the Samford Rangers football club (approx. 200m from the carpark area).

You will also have the opportunity to meet your local Environment Officer and other like-minded locals.

Make sure you wear sunscreen, sun-safe clothing, enclosed footwear, and bring a drink bottle.

You will be provided with:

  • tools and equipment for planting
  • a sausage sizzle.

Parking available in the Samford Rangers Football Club carpark.
