Author Stella Quinn has written an unmissable, funny, feel-good romance in her latest book, and she will tell us about it at Bribie Island Library on Saturday 10 June.

Stella is renowned for writing romance, adventure and escape, and is the author of The Vet From Snowy River. A home among the snow gums shows that the road to love is a rutted dirt track for the other vet from Snowy River!

Free. Bookings required. Stella will be selling her own books.

About the book: Hannah Cody grew up sunny, carefree and loved in the Snowy Mountains town of Hanrahan, but a vicious prank at university in Sydney changed that. Instead of studying medicine, she moved to a small regional centre, switched to veterinary science and swore off romance for life. Ten quiet years later, she's settled. She's safe. And yeah, she hasn't left Hanrahan in years, but that's not agoraphobia, is it? It's not hiding if you're happy.

After many years abroad as a naval analyst, Tom Krauss is drawn home by his estranged father's deteriorating health and his own secret injury. But as soon as he sets eyes on Hannah again, he realises that he's never forgotten the engaging little sister of his best friend. He loved her when he was a teenager, and now he knows he never stopped. Problem: Romance is a no-go. There's a piece of shrapnel wedged against his spine, and the countdown is on for him to make a surgical decision that could free him from pain ... or paralyse him.

Praise for Stella Quinn: "The perfect feel-good blend of warmth, wit and small town charm." – Alissa Callen, bestselling author of Snowy Mountains Daughter

About the author: Stella Quinn has had a love affair with books since she first discovered the alphabet. She lives in sunny Queensland now, but has lived in England, Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea. Boarding school in a Queensland country town left Stella with a love of small towns and heritage buildings (and a fear of chenille bedspreads and meatloaf) and that is why she loves writing rural romance. Stella is a keen scrabble player, she’s very partial to her four kids and anything with four furry feet, and she is a mediocre grower of orchids. An active member of Romance Writers of Australia, Stella has won their Emerald, Sapphire and Valerie Parv Awards, and has been a finalist for contemporary romance for Romantic Book of the Year.
