Welcome to the Mindful multiple layers workshop. This workshop is designed to allow time and space to connect to the self through sensations, line, colour and layers. Participants are invited to explore a range of mediums in a multiple layered art experience.

Curiosity, discovery and presence are the core of this mindful process. No art experience is necessary for this mindfulness workshop, just an openness to connect to your creative self.

Participants start with a large piece of paper. You will then be guided through four different kinds of art materials and processes to create an abstract artwork.

Each layer is explored to allow for:

  • sensory engagement
  • texture exploration
  • repetitive movements.

The experience aims to regulate mood and create art by 'doing' rather than thinking or planning. You will leave with a creative expression of self and a calm sense of being.
