from $55.00

In this Bookbinding workshop you will create 2 beautiful journals, matching envelopes and gift tags to take home. You will learn 2 different Japanese Stab Binding techniques.

  • Noble Binding
  • Tortoise Shell Binding

These binds were used over 300 years ago in Japan to bind most books during the Edo Period.

Each notebook will have:

  • Up to 16 pages of high quality 110gsm papers
  • Choose from a vast range of pattern and plain cardstock to make the notebook unique to you
  • Book sizes A5, B5 and 6x6inch square book (for other sizes please contact me in advance)

This is a great introduction class to Bookbinding.

There are so many wonderful ideas you can make once you know these Bookbinding techniques from recycling old notebooks to preserving kids artwork.

I would love to show you how to use Japanese Stab Binding to create your own unique journals.
