JOHN ELLIOTT: WORKSHOP ‘DISCOVERING THE JOY OF PHOTOGRAPHY’

Join us for a half day workshop with acclaimed photographer and storyteller John Elliott. Sunday 17 July, 10.30am-3.00pm, Mon Komo Hotel, Redcliffe. $200 including lunch. Limited places available.

Photographer and writer John Elliott has been taking pictures for over 60 years, since he was 11 years old, growing up in Blackall, Western Queensland. He is drawn to the Australian bush, cities, music and people. His work features in the Australian National Portrait Gallery, including his iconic image of Slim Dusty and Dame Edna Everage.

John Elliott’s workshop will deal with landscape, portraiture and phone photography.

It will be a hands-on immersive experience, in which John will share his passion and vision for using photography as an important tool in the storytelling process.

Set at the beautiful Mon Komo Hotel in the heart of Redcliffe, this workshop is for people with a basic understanding of photography and how your camera or phone works. John believes, “Everyone has all the gear. This workshop will get you fired up and passionate about taking the pictures you’ve always dreamed of taking.”

John will teach attendees how to set goals and how to make their dreams real when it comes to photography. You will go away with a new understanding of what makes a great photograph and skills to produce the images you want.
