Award winning filmmaker Phoebe Hart joins international drag legend Ashley Swift on our IDAHOBIT panel on May 17.

Fashion designer and educator Deborah Fisher will lead a lively discussion about IDAHOBIT - the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia.

Ashley will finish the evening with one of his signature performances. Light refreshments are available and bookings are free but essential. Doors open at 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM start. NB: Guests can also contribute to Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Creative Communities survey, ask questions and find out more about our libraries, galleries, museums and creative events.

About Deborah Fisher: Deborah is a lecturer in Fashion Studies with a focus on developing a design mindset. Her research interests encompass fashion and identity, women’s relationships with clothing through material culture, personal branding and design thinking.

About Ashley Swift: Creative producer, costume designer, stylist, dancer, choreographer and international drag legend, Ashley Swift has worked with many industry greats. From Courtney Act to Bardot, from Elton John to Kylie Minogue - Ashley has helped shaped drag (and fashion!) style across the globe.

About Dr Phoebe Hart: Award winning filmmaker and intersex rights activist, Phoebe Hart, was born with Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome*. Dr Hart is also an Associate Professor at Queensland University of Technology where she lectures in film, television and digital media. * In an individual with complete AIS, the body’s cells are unable to respond to androgen, or “male” hormones.
