Dust & Good Bones Launch exhibition

Welcome to the launched of The Dust & Good Bones project.

This exhibition is an illustrative and photographic celebration of the Dust & Good Bones concept of creative travel in country Australia.

The exhibition explores the concept of a creative country. Looking at different aspects. Not just a tourist or holiday shoot, and grand landscapes, but also spotlighting the everyday quiet, artistic offerings. Photographing buildings, industry, animals, farmlands, human presence, etc., that represent the country. Capturing their essence: the grit, power, beauty, gentleness, or harshness within the landscape and small towns. It also showcases a glimpse of the creative interpretation possibilities from what is discovered.

The walls map out an exploratory journey across Australia's creative country from a recent trip from Brisbane to Hay in the NSW outback during the 2022 floods.

The drive has been journaled around the gallery's walls. Through back roads to small country towns to discover not only the beauty but also the unnoticed but notice worthy sides to country. Highlighting the beautiful and the unusual with creative photography, Illustrations, sound captures, and video.

Ultimately creating a uniquely immersive experience that helps you see the country in a creative light.

D&GB is an online platform for those travellers who like every stop to be a memorable one. Inspire. Create. Enjoy.

Encouraging artists into the country to create and inviting art lovers, photographers, and everyday adventurers to look at small Australian communities as a "creative country".

With this exhibition, Dust & Good Bones is officially launched. The correlating website maps out some of the best locations for artists and photographers, including the best camps/accommodations, galleries, creative shops, Art Trails and Festivals across Australia.
