This month Dr Deb Eddy will be tapping into her own practice as a feminist artist while joining forces with local textile artist Shan Micheals. Together, they will be facilitating a textile workshop that draws inspiration from both New Exuberance and Deeply Unserious.

Deb and Shan will guide you through the process of making a flag. Not just any ordinary flag but one that illuminates your internal mantra. In this workshop you will be deconstructing the notion of flags while constructing your own.

We invite you to come along to this workshop with whatever skills and experience you have.

About the artist:

Shan Michaels is a Moreton Bay textile artist whose work challenges heteronormative constructs and questions the binaries that confine us. Her work invites us to reimagine our own narratives.
