Already occupied workshop with Libby Harward

from $5.00
Join Her beauty and Her Terror artist, Libby Harward, to make your own “deconstruction site” using recycled materials, printed roadwork sign and paints. Yarn about the importance of mangrove swamp country and our coastal tea tree wetland habitats which are among the most valuable ecosystems on Earth. A descendant of the Ngugi people of Mulgumpin (Moreton Island) in the Quandamooka, Libby creates artworks that break through the colonial overlay to connect with the cultural landscape, which always was, and remains to be there. Her political practice, in a range of genres, continues this decolonising process. Bookings required for participants only. This event is suitable for ages 5 and over. Light refreshments and all materials are provided. Image credit: Libby Harward with artwork Minyang nyinda yarinya? Minyang nyinda yagay ba? (What are you saying? What are you doing?).
